A billion streams can’t be wrong. And especially when they are of the same song. And when the song is one of the first letters of presentation from a 17-year-old artist (now 19) and when all this went down not even 2 years ago.
All these numbers refer to just one name: Khea, a lad who was born in the year 2000 in Argentina and who is largely responsible for the trap boom in Argentina. Formed by freestyle rap battles, since his first track B.U.H.O., released in 2017 and together with other key names of the genre including Duki, Cazzu and Neo Pistea, the Argentinian has not even needed to release a record to be recognised as the present and, above all, the future of a whole generation of artists who will be at the forefront of Latin trap over the coming years.
All this thanks to the catchy blasts on tracks like She Don’t Give a Fo, Cómo Le Digo and Vete, but especially thanks to Loca recorded in collaboration with Duki and Cazzu, one of his first tracks and the song of the billion streams on Youtube and Spotify alone. It was such a hit that even Bad Bunny himself did not hesitate to join the official remix of the track just a few months after its release, which ended up going global.
Later came the millions of followers on social networks (currently 2.4 million on Instagram and 1.7 on Youtube), the sold out concerts all over Latin America and the first European tour this year (with concerts at festivals in Germany and Denmark, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland). And now, Khea’s first Spanish tour, that will kick off on October 10th in Murcia and will then take him to Valencia, Granada, Barcelona, Bilbao, Gijón and Madrid, as wel as Lisbon, for what promises to put the seal on the arrival of the new generation of the Latin American urban scene.
