Since the beginning of the lockdown, the concert venues have been plunged into uncertainty, and still cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. The need to continue the activity in order not to grind to a complete halt and put thousands of jobs at risk has led these venues to step on the accelerator of creativity and technological innovation, setting their sights on streaming: if the audience cannot fill a venue, then we will take the venue to the audience. The optimists see this as a sophisticated line of business; whereas, the pessimists consider it as a temporary patch.
This round table organized by the ASACC will try to unravel the success of now consolidated initiatives and will give voice to new proposals that have arisen from unique circumstances.Is streaming an option today? Are we facing a new form of musical consumption?
