Last year a system was introduced to use the card that you are given when you hand over your ticket for the purchase of drinks.

The card was to be topped up with cash using the Portal on the website.

Given the chaos that ensued initially, will this scheme still be in operation this year ? If so, will you also be able to use cash ?

I still have a creadit of around 40 euros from last year, but would like to know how I can get this refunded, or added to this years card

I really liked the idea of having a card that you can top up online, etc. and saves you having to worry about buying tickets and all that jazz.

So I really hope that they go for the same method, but obviously properly tested and working.

I was lucky enough to be at the Sufjan Stevens gig on Thursday last year, so was completely oblivious to all the chaos outside and by the time we were out it was all over as cash was being accepted.

I really wish people would get over all the technology shit and recognise that cash is the best things for everyone.

You buy a drink you pay for a drink. In euros. Easy. The money spent on a stupid IT system that breaks all the time could be spent better on having enough security in the site to ensure the amounts of cash flying around can be lookede after. Last year was a joke with the portal.

I'm hoping that the lack of info about the portal/card nonsense means we're reverting to cash... however, given the investment in iPads etc last year, I doubt it... at least I won't need to worry about a portal-based Auditori ticket lottery this year, unless they need it for the Big Star tribute or Josh T Pearson, which seems unlikely...

The festival never had a cash system, as far as I can remember. There was always some ticketing system in place.

So whatever system is in place, I am pretty sure that it will not be with the use of cash at the bar. That only happened last year due to the card system collapsing.

My favourite system of the lot was when you could buy tickets that were worth 1 Euro each, so you could spend them whatever way you wanted. The worst system was in 2010 when you had to plan what you were going to drink all night and buy tickets for specific drinks. So whatever happens, I hope that they do not revert to that one...

I tried to get on to the portal system but I couldn't work out what was "Primavera Sound subscriber card number" or the "ID Nr." could someone please help me.

That would be the number in your Primavera Sound card that is given to you to access the festival in exchange for the full festival ticket.

Last year, the card was linked to the account and it could be topped up online, at the venue and it also allowed you to unlink the card from the account in case you lost the card.

I wouldn't worry about that number until you get there.

I believe you can only register if you have the card from last year's event, which would have this number. Otherwise, I think you will need to wait to get this year's card.

That's good. Not being able to get a drop of water for several hours on Thursday last year would have been a total deal breaker had it not been for that Sufjan Stevens set.
