OK, so we've had a thread on bands you'd like to see, but which are the songs you'd most like to hear?

I remember hearing Why? play 'These Few Presidents' at Primavera 2008, with everyone singing along, and it was one of my favourite festival moments ever.

This year I want to hear:

Ariel Pink - Round and Round
Animal Collective - Brother Sport
Caribou - Leave House
Phosphorescent - The Mermaid Parade

All fairly obvious choices but will make my festival if/when they get played :D

Pulp - way too many to list, but especially Like a Friend (no chance since they have never played it), I Spy, Sunrise, Pink Glove, This Is Hardcore, pretty much all the His & Hers/Different Class Hits
Sufjan Stevens - Impossible Soul
Gang Gang Dance - Thru and Thru
Belle & Sebastian - Your Cover's Blown
Of Montreal - The Past Is a Grotesque Animal
Animal Collective - Brothersport
Battles - Tij
Interpol - Specialist, Leif Erikson
Low - Broadway
Mogwai - Ratts of the Capital
Odd Future - Swag Me Out

This is a great subject to think about, although it's really hard one.

The single greatest moment and a song last year was absolutely Pixies and 'Where is My Mind'. I had waited for that moment since I heard Pixies for the first time many years ago. I even had to shed a few tears during the song...It was so beautiful!!

Now, I would really like to experience something like that also this year. Sufjan Stevens is the one I mostly await. 'Chicago' is the song I would love to hear live and also 'I Walked' is important for me.

Other important artists and songs are at least

Galaxie 500 - Strange
Ariel Pink - Round and Round
John Cale - Macbeth
M. Ward - Poison Cup
Gang Gang - House Jam
Fleet Foxes - Your Protector
Animal Collective - For Reverend Green
Pere Ubu - 30 Seconds Over Tokyo
Pulp - Dishes

Well, there for starters. :D

Suuns - Arena
The Walkmen - The Rat
Animal Collective - Fireworks (highly unlikely going by current setlists)
The Tallest Man On Earth - The Gardener
Caribou - Yeti/Odessa
Darkstar - North
Mogwai - Mogwai Fear Satan
PJ Harvey - All and Everyone
Seefeel - Polyfusion
Gold Panda - Snow and Taxis
Sufjan - The Man of Metropolis...
Glasser - Apply
Battles - Tonto
EITS - First Breath After Coma
The National - All The Wine/Mistaken For Strangers
Factory Floor - A Wooden Box

Quite obvious choices but those be the things that float this boys boat.

Belle & Sebastian - Lazy Line Painter Jane
Kurt Vile - Freak Train, I'm absolutely obsessed by this song at the moment
The National - Slow Show, Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks with no amps and the crowd singing as they did on their recent tour, that was great, Apartment Story
Low - When I Go Deaf, although if the set is purely the new album that'll be fine by me, it's lovely
Sufjan Stevens - Enchanting Ghost
Mogwai - I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead
Animal Collective - What Would I Want? Sky
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Bellbottoms
Explosions In The Sky - So Long, Lonesome (I kind of doubt they'll do this one but everything about it is perfect, even the song title. The bit where the drums finally come in always gets me. And that piano hook. Beautiful.)

The Walkmen - I Lost You, because they didn't play it the last time I saw 'em and it's an epic song
The Tallest Man On Earth - Love Is All, same as above
Kurt Vile - Freeway, because it's the ultimate feelgood song
Sufjan Stevens - To Be Alone With You, because I want to hear some old stuff of his
Avi Buffalo - Truth Sets In, it's catchy as fuck
Fleet Foxes - Mykonos, it's their best song
James Blake - To Care (Like You), I want to hear that bass line live
